Information we collect

We collect account information (email, name, profile photo from sign-in providers), details of the social accounts you connect (authorization tokens are held by our publishing service provider, Post For Me), content you compose, usage data, and billing details processed by Stripe.

How we use data

We use personal information to operate the service, publish on your behalf, improve features, provide support, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting support@post-drop.app. We handle data in accordance with applicable privacy laws including PIPEDA where relevant.

Third-party services

PostDrop integrates with social platforms and Stripe for payments. Each third party has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data when you connect an account or complete checkout.

Google and YouTube user data

PostDrop uses YouTube API Services. By using PostDrop with YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms); Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/policies/privacy).

PostDrop's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

We access your channel's ID, name and profile picture to show which channel is connected; upload the videos, titles, descriptions and settings you choose when you press Publish or Schedule; and read your own videos, their statistics and YouTube Analytics reports to show performance on the Analytics page. We do not edit or delete existing videos or read comments.

Google user data is shared only with Post For Me (Day Moon Development LLC), our service provider for account connections and analytics, which makes YouTube API requests for channel details and analytics on PostDrop's behalf with PostDrop's credentials. PostDrop uploads videos to YouTube itself, with an access token it obtains from Post For Me at upload time and does not store. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine learning models, and it is never sent to Google Gemini or any other AI model.

Channel ID, name and picture are refreshed daily while connected. Video statistics and analytics are fetched from the YouTube API when you open the Analytics page, kept only in server memory for at most 30 minutes and never written to our database; YouTube statistics are not included in dashboard totals or emails. Delivery records of status notifications from Post For Me are deleted after 30 days. Analytics for a connected channel are visible to you and to the team members you invite to that workspace.

Disconnecting YouTube in PostDrop immediately revokes PostDrop's Google authorization and deletes the channel's stored data at PostDrop and at Post For Me. You can also remove access at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions; our daily check detects this and we delete related data within 30 days. PostDrop uses cookies and local storage on your device for sign-in and preferences. Questions: support@post-drop.app.

Threads user data

When you connect a Threads profile you authorize PostDrop on Threads' own consent screen. PostDrop handles Threads data under the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We access your profile ID, username, name, profile picture and your own posts to show which profile is connected, let you pick it when composing, list your posts on the Analytics page and link published posts (threads_basic); we publish the text, image or video you write only when you press Publish now or at your scheduled time (threads_content_publish); and we show your follower count, how many times your profile was viewed in the chosen date range, and each post's views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes and shares with their totals on the Analytics page (threads_manage_insights). We do not request follower demographics, read replies or mentions, or edit or delete existing posts.

Threads data is shared only with Post For Me (Day Moon Development LLC), which holds the authorization token and makes publishing and post-metric requests with PostDrop's credentials at PostDrop's direction. PostDrop reads profile insights itself with a token it obtains from Post For Me at that moment and does not store. Insights are kept only in server memory for at most 30 minutes and never written to our database. We do not sell Threads data or use it for advertising.

Disconnecting Threads in PostDrop deletes the connection and its stored Threads data at PostDrop and at Post For Me. Removing PostDrop in the Threads app (Settings, Account, Website permissions) does the same automatically, and a deletion request from that screen is completed straight away with a confirmation code you can look up at https://post-drop.app/data-deletion.

Data retention and security

We retain account and publishing data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal data according to our retention schedule. We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect stored information.

How to delete your data
